- My wife and I were both saved as young children. For the past seven years we have been active, serving in the ministries at Bible Baptist Temple in Stonewood, West Virginia. During this time I have held the position of Deacon and our family is very involved with all the children’s ministries of our church. We have two boys whose prayers have been that God will provide the needed funding, materials, and staff for Camp Faith.
In early 2010, God provided Camp Faith with 10 acres in the beautiful West Virginia mountains. We also have been able to purchase an adjoining 1 acre lot to provide a good access road to the camp. In His timing, God is continually providing for the needs of the camp in miraculous ways. God has provided Camp Faith with the initial equipment needed to begin work on the grounds. Even before the first tree was cut or the first shovel of dirt turned God began to supply through generous donations of equipment and supplies for a kitchen and canteen/snack shop.
The mission and goal of Camp Faith is first and foremost to ensure that each and every life we touch has experienced a personal, biblical salvation experience through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In order to ensure that our families and youth are properly grounded in their spiritual walk and in all critically important areas in life, we believe that in all things and at all times we must thoroughly present the following essentials:
Sound Bible doctrines to include: Eternal Security of the Believer, individual spiritual growth, remaining pure for marriage, local church attendance and participation, winning the lost, and Biblical separation from the world. We believe these should be thoroughly presented and often. We believe that the example of personal involvement in church ministry in a committed, surrendered servant to others fashion. These individual tennants, if the church of tomorrow is not only to survive, but to continue to thrive for HIS honor and glory, should and must be presented and encouraged often.
